They say good things come in small, unsuspecting packages. They aren't wrong. We named this sweet but totally game-changing gift after the fearless force that was Annie Londonderry. At the age of 23 Annie left her home and three young children in Boston to cycle around the world, solo. Her year-long self-funded voyage – though likely to have been helped along by a cheeky train and steamboat or two – made Annie a true poster girl for women's independence and athleticism.
