Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion.
The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture. The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to soothe sensitive skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
Apply once per day, ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

Bad for face, great for hands
I persevered with this on my face for 6 months, eased into it, used it 1-2 times a week, then increased. For past 2.5 months been using it daily. My face broke out the whole time, but thought it was just purging. Stopped using it last week and my skin has never been better! All hope it not lost, I still had half a bottle left so use it on my dry and wrinkly looking hands. Now they look moisturised and youthful which no hand cream has ever achieved!Â
