Jojoba oil is not actually an oil, but a golden liquid wax made from the jojoba bean. Uniquely, it actually mimics the natural oils found in our own skin and absorbs deep below the skin's surface. The Jojoba Company set out to share the benefits of this miracle plant, by crafting a range of products with Australian-grown jojoba oil as the star ingredient.
Jojoba oil has many benefits and was used in the past by Native Americans who prized its soothing properties and used it as a skin balm and restorer. The wax ester produced by the bean is very similar to the human skin's own protective wax and works in a similar way to keep your skin smooth, supple and moisturised. Over time, our skin's protective wax can diminish, leaving your skin dry, tired and dull. Jojoba oil is able to penetrate past the outer layer of skin, where it can deliver its hydrating, restorative properties.
The brand offers both pure jojoba oil that's been cold-pressed and grown on the family farm, as well as a host of products containing other beneficial botanicals like aloe vera, rosehip, guava, and many more, not to mention a host of vitamins and powerful antioxidants.
